Control what gets published

Your marketplace.
Your menu standards.

When restaurants register or start a free trial, their menu content deserves a closer look. Review supported text, images, and changes before they appear on your public menu.

Review new menu content

Approve categories, menu items, add-on groups and options, sizes, ingredients, and cooking references.

See exactly what changed

Compare original and proposed fields. Approved content stays unchanged while an update is pending.

Review menu images

Inspect new and replacement images. Staged images stay private until the submission is approved.

Give a clear decision

Approve or reject submissions with an actionable reason. Merchants can correct and resubmit within your rules.

Keep a decision history

Search approvals and rejections. See the reviewer, timestamps, reasons, and request activity.

Choose your approval rules

Configure supported content, image, and pricing edits, optional deletion approval, and merchant exemptions.

A busy review queue? Work in batches. Approve or reject up to 50 supported requests with a result for each one. Deletion approvals need individual review; bulk rejection requires a reason.

From submission to publication

Four steps. A clear decision.

A straightforward workflow for merchants and the team reviewing their menus.

  1. 01

    Merchant submits

A merchant adds or edits supported content in the KMRS merchant panel.

  2. 02

    Changes wait

The proposal is stored separately while the currently approved content remains live.

  3. 03

    Admin reviews

An authorized reviewer examines the request, then approves or rejects it with a reason.

  4. 04

    Approved content goes live

Approval publishes the change. A rejected request can be corrected within the configured limits.

Keep the approved version available

A pending edit shouldn’t take your menu offline.

Customers continue seeing the approved item or category while your team reviews a proposed update. Merchants can follow it with a Pending Changes status.

Enable deletion approval when you want supported removal requests reviewed too. The existing record stays in place until the deletion is approved.

Moderation with a record.

  • Delegate with KMRS permissions

Control page access and assign the separate permission to suspend or reinstate merchants.

  • Manage repeated submissions

Set content and deletion resubmission limits. Reset attempts with a documented reason.

  • Suspend merchant submissions

Restrict submissions with a reason and audit trail while the addon is enabled.

Before you get started

A few things
to know.

How menu approval fits into your marketplace.

Contact Karenderia support
Is this a standalone system?

No. This addon requires a separately purchased and installed Karenderia Multiple Restaurant System (KMRS) version 2.0.12 or later.

What happens to an item while an edit is pending?

The previously approved version remains available to customers until the proposed change is approved.

Can an administrator reject a submission?

Yes. Authorized reviewers can reject submissions and provide a reason. The rejection-reason requirement is configurable; bulk rejection always requires a reason.

Can merchants submit corrections?

Yes. Merchants can edit and resubmit rejected requests through the merchant panel, subject to resubmission limits and suspension rules. They can also withdraw pending requests.

Can deletion requests require approval?

Yes, when deletion approval is enabled for the supported operation. Deletion approvals require individual review and are skipped during bulk approval.

Can I restrict a merchant’s menu submissions?

Authorized administrators can suspend submissions for 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, or until manually lifted, with a reason and audit trail. Suspensions apply while Menu Approval is enabled.

Does the addon automatically detect inappropriate content?

No. It provides manual review controls. Administrators are responsible for inspecting submissions; there is no automatic content detection or compliance guarantee.

Are item availability controls affected?

Routine availability changes for already approved content remain operational, including during a submission suspension.

Can merchants submit changes from the mobile app?

The addon does not include a new mobile submission interface. Protected menu writes are refused with guidance to use the merchant panel. Availability controls remain available.
